Using Discrete Element Method (DEM) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) provides great value. Ansys Rocky allows engineers to take into account all the forces acting on each particle in the bulk system, yielding insights into how these materials would perform within the given equipment over a range of process conditions. The loads estimated by Ansys Rocky analyses are passed to Ansys Mechanical to predict the structural response.
