Acoustics Simulation Using Ansys LS-DYNA
Ansys LS-DYNA is a general purpose finite element software solution capable of simulating complex, real-world problems. It is known in the industry for solving highly non-linear phenomena like impact and crash-related problems in the automotive industry, as well as blade containment, bird strike, metal forming, fluid splashing, metal cutting, blast and biomechanics in other industries. LS-DYNA's many features can be combined to model a wide variety of physics through its multiphysics solver capability such as fluid flow, heat flow, electromagnetics and structure. Its solver is not limited to studying the dynamic responses of structures, but extends to predicting sound radiated by vibrating structures during dynamic loading events such as impact, base excitation, etc. In this webinar, we will discuss Ansys LS-DYNA acoustics simulation capabilities for a wide range of problems.
Topics Include
- LS-DYNA structural dynamics solver capabilities in the time and frequency domains
- Pure acoustic analysis for applications like mufflers
- Vibro-acoustics using FEM, BEM and SEA
- The difference between FEM and BEM for acoustics modeling
- Types of acoustics solvers available in LS-DYNA
- Time domain to frequency domain conversion
- Post-processing acoustic results for design insights
