2025 R1: What’s New With Ansys Minerva SPDM Software

UX enhancements have also been made, including changes to the Form Builder, Data View, and ECAD Viewer. Along with reducing complexity and providing user-friendly functionality, the updates to simulation business process management make it easier to track and manage simulation processes and improve visibility in simulation statuses. The new connector aids those needing to demonstrate compliance with industry standards.

• You can now use the Generic Connector with a Dark theme or a theme of your choice. Additionally, the user interface of the Generic Connector windows, such as file explorer and staging windows, has been enhanced for a better user experience.
• You can now check and resolve conflicts in your files before uploading them back to the Minerva solution. You can reduce data loss and maintain version control while preventing accidental overwriting of others’ work by detecting conflicts before upload. This enables users to make informed decisions about how to handle conflicting changes, which maintains data integrity and saves time.
• You can now close your local application any time and later resume your work in the same session by rerunning the application. With asynchronous job launches, users can continue working without timeout sessions, which enables flexibility.
• You can now configure your working directory to exclude certain files from being considered in Generic Connector commands. This enables you to manage your data more effectively by excluding files, such as temporary files and log files. This provides the user with control over which files are synchronized and enables teams to standardize on which files should be tracked.

UX Enhancements

Minerva software has enhanced the user experience with a few updates and changes to the Form Builder, simulation business process management functionality, and the Data View and ECAD Viewer.

• You can now work in the Form Builder with enhanced functionality and style. By reducing complexity and adding features to increase user adoption, the updates make the forms more intuitive and user-friendly. The new components include an Input Grid (input-grid), which arranges inputs in tabular format; Image (img), which lets you add representational images or icons on a form; and Accordion (viz-details), which creates collapsible sections for better content organization.
• Enhancements have been made to Minerva software’s simulation business process management, which typically makes it easier to track and manage simulation processes and improve visibility in simulation status and when bottlenecks have been updated. This enables you to now specify assignees for multi-user and milestone tasks using the Properties panel in the Flow View of a work request.
• Enhancements to Data View and the ECAD Viewer have been made, enabling better decision-making through improved data visualization. In Data View, when viewing project, work request, and task folders, you can now see columns relevant to these items. In the ECAD Viewer, you can now use the Mini Map feature, which enables you to see where you are in a design. This is particularly helpful when you have zoomed in to specific components of the design. Finally, you can use Box Zoom, which lets you quickly zoom in to a desired area of the design by drawing a rectangular box.

Simulation Digital Thread Enhancements

A new connector is now available to integrate Minerva software with IBM’s Engineering Test Management (ETM) solution through our partner XPLM. Because ETM is part of the IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management Suite (ELM), which helps teams perform systematic quality assurance, the new connector aids those needing to demonstrate compliance with industry standards. Additionally, the connector provides enhanced traceability and a streamlined end-to-end simulation workflow through its implementation with ETM.
