Exploring Materials and Shape with Ansys Granta EduPack
This lecture introduces the idea of material shape and how it can impact materials selection. Examples of common shapes (such as I-beams), their loading conditions and shape factors are shown. This information can be used within the structural sections data-table of the Built Environment database in Ansys Granta EduPack for overview and selection.
