About this Webinar
Teaching acoustics and audio signal processing can be challenging, as students need to grasp basic principles and equations while learning to implement and use them in a real industrial context. In this webinar, we will showcase how Ansys Sound post-processing tool enables the prediction and analysis of noise in an industrial context. An automotive example of noise comparison between a combustion engine and an electric vehicle will address the importance of time-frequency analysis parameters and the difference between dB SPL and dB(A).
Students will need first to work as detectives to guess which source is responsible for which type of noise inside the vehicle. Then, they will create several virtual The exercises will be backed up by a lecture unit introducing the fundamentals of digital audio signal processing and acoustics using Ansys software. The lecture unit is closely linked to practical work and will enable students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life industry use cases.
