Simulating Safe HVAC Systems with Ansys Fluent

The global COVID-19 pandemic has impacted people and companies around the world. This has caused many industries to be severely limited due to transmission risks. The virus spreads through three primary routes: airborne particles, droplets from a cough or sneeze and touching an infected surface. Although HVAC guidelines and standards may provide minimum flowrates, required pressure offsets and recommended locations for placement of supply/exhaust grilles and diffusers, simulation enables designers and engineers to explore tradeoffs and optimize designs. Factories, hospitals and other public spaces must consider a variety of strategies to mitigate the spread of this airborne disease to help us return to normal daily routines. This webinar will showcase how engineering analysis can help optimize the design and operation of ventilation systems as well as UV disinfection systems for air and surfaces.
