To use Ansys Gateway powered by AWS you’ll need an AWS subscription and an Ansys license. You can purchase Ansys licenses with the licensing of your choice (lease, paid-up or elastic licensing).

Your AWS account and Ansys Gateway powered by the AWS platform are extensions to your local network. There are several options to transfer files between the platform and your workstation. You can automatically map disks on your local workstation to VDIs and File Storage Servers on the platform, drag and drop files, or use file transfer tools.

Yes. Ansys ID removes the need for an Active Directory to authenticate Ansys Gateway powered by AWS web portal access. Using Ansys ID for Ansys Gateway powered by AWS web portal enables seamless access to multiple Ansys services like Ansys Help, Ansys Learning Hub, and many more. Ansys ID will authenticate users to sign in to Ansys Gateway powered by the AWS web portal for both Express and Manual setup.

With Ansys Gateway powered by AWS, you can quickly set up VDI and HPC Clusters in your AWS account and run simulations cost-effectively using easy-to-install Ansys applications pre-configured to run optimally on AWS hardware.

Your IT administrator can subscribe to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS on the AWS marketplace: AWS Marketplace: Ansys Gateway powered by AWS (amazon.com) and complete onboarding using a guided wizard. Post onboarding, you can sign in to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS using your company credentials on a web browser to create VDIs, HPC Clusters, and run Ansys applications.
