For 70 years, IMS has been a yearly gathering point for technical experts in microwave research and technology. The symposium is a heavily attended event, with microwave and radio frequency (RF) design professionals coming from around the globe.
As a leader in computational electromagnetics (EM) for the last 40 years, Ansys has developed many industry breakthroughs in numerical methods and mathematical techniques. Ansys EM solver technology simulates 3D signal and power parasitics, radiated fields, coupling effects, and surface currents in objects ranging from systems on a chip (SoCs) and three-dimensional integrated circuit (3DIC) devices up to printed circuit boards (PCBs), cards, and blades; full system implementations, including smartphones, base stations, routers, and servers; and further up in scale to automobiles, aircraft, and even multiple city blocks.
An example of all the above is Ansys HFSS, the premier electromagnetic simulator in the Ansys product line and a unique technology in its own right in the electronic design automation (EDA) industry. With its mesh fusion technology, HFSS combines multiple solvers, adaptive meshing, domain decomposition techniques, parallelization of computing tasks, and distributed computing to scale meshes over complex geometries from micro to macro in order to capture the electromagnetic behavior of almost any size object in intimate detail. Simulations are efficient, reliable, and a gold standard of accuracy in the EDA industry.

In addition to being the established leader in electromagnetic simulation, HFSS is also available now in a free student version. There are many resources available for learning how HFSS can be applied to a broad variety of EM modeling and simulation problems, along with online courses to bring new users up to speed quickly. All of these resources can be found at the following links:
From June 19-24 in Denver, Colorado at booth 8042, Ansys professionals will discuss any issues and problems in the way of you reaching your RF and microwave design goals. See you at the conference!
