Join us at APEC 2022 to Explore the Latest Advances in Low Frequency Electromagnetic Solver Technology

Ansys is exhibiting at APEC 2022 (Applied Power Electronics Conference) on March 20 – 24 in Houston. Ansys has participated in this conference for the last 30 years and we are delighted to be a part of it again in 2022. APEC is the “The Premier Event in Applied Power Electronics™,” focusing on the practical and applied aspects of the power electronics business.

Come visit booth #845 where Ansys low-frequency engineering experts can answer all your questions and help you design the best-in-class electric machines, transformers, wireless charging devices, permanent magnet latches, actuators, and other electromechanical devices.

On Tuesday March 22 at 1 p.m. in room 360 DEF, we are hosting a session with Mark Christini, principal application engineer at Ansys. He will demonstrate how to simulate conducted emissions for a motor drive. Conducted emissions in a motor drive or power supply are typically determined through expensive and time-consuming testing. Using Ansys simulation tools, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) can be calculated virtually prior to fabrication.

What attendees will learn from our session:

  • How to use Ansys tools to setup a conducted emissions study.
  • Steps to perform a complete system analysis including printed circuit board (PCB) layout, characterize the board with insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs), electric motor, power cable, and line impedance stabilization networks (LISNs).
  • Observing where to add components such as inductive chokes and capacitive shunts to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) to meet Comité International Spécial des Perturbations Radioélectriques (CISPR) standards.

We encourage you to visit us at Booth #845 and chat with us. We look forward to understanding your design challenges and navigating through the best solutions that might help you.
