I have been at Ansys for three years, but my career journey spans eight years of merging technology and creativity. After graduating with a degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering in 2015, during a challenging job market, I began as a technology content writer. This role unexpectedly led me to interview global thought leaders and profile CEOs.
Imagine you’re building an intricate Lego castle with a guidebook showing you how to assemble it. My role is to create that guidebook but for sophisticated computer software used in developing electric cars and booster rockets. I ensure that users understand how to use these tools to create remarkable innovations.
I collaborate with engineers to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, concise documentation. This helps our customers and internal teams use Ansys software to solve challenging engineering problems. From user guides to videos, I ensure that our software is accessible and efficient for engineers. I’ve also automated API documentation, saving weeks of work for my team. My role keeps everything running smoothly and efficiently.
What attracted me to Ansys was its reputation as a hub for those passionate about continuous learning. I always conduct thorough research before making a decision, and I’ve consistently heard positive feedback about the employees at Ansys. With great managers, a supportive working culture, and a legendary company status, it’s the perfect blend of intellect and heart.
Ansys is where serious innovation happens, using tools that shape the future of engineering. It’s now my mission to raise awareness about the impact of simulation technology, from enhancing car safety to accelerating chip design. Ansys is the ideal environment for someone like me who loves exploring both technology and creativity.
I love the authenticity at Ansys. Regardless of the meeting or situation, people are refreshingly down-to-earth and genuine. It’s a culture that fosters innovation while ensuring that everyone feels valued and heard. Despite being a 50-year-old powerhouse in the engineering world, there’s a startup-like energy that keeps things fresh and dynamic.
The support and inclusivity across teams have been instrumental. The people here are genuinely passionate, and that energy is contagious. One day, I might be deeply involved in serious engineering work, and the next I could be helping a group build houses or feed stray animals. The sense of pride I feel from being vulnerable, resourceful, and approachable brings me immense contentment.
I’m making a positive impact in the world through my work and connections across the ONE Ansys community. Whether it’s a technical question or a brainstorming session for a new initiative, there’s always someone willing to help. I’ve been fortunate to be part of a place where every voice matters, and that’s invaluable to me.
While all our Ansys values are important, if I had to choose one, it would be “Be Open.” This value speaks to my soul. Being open to what’s next is all about constant growth and refusing to settle. That mindset keeps me pushing me to improve, and I believe it’s the reason Ansys continues to be a leader in the industry.
My team and I serve as the bridge between complex engineering tools and the people who use them. By providing clear, precise documentation, we ensure that customers can harness the full power of Ansys products without being bogged down by confusion. In a way, we help translate technical brilliance into real-world impact, which is at the heart of Ansys’ mission.
Talk to people. Seriously, make connections. There’s a wealth of knowledge and opportunities here, and it all starts with reaching out. You will be surprised to find treasures in the form of lessons, growth opportunities, and resources here at Ansys. Always be on a quest.
I’m involved with two employee resource groups (ERGs): Women in Technology and the (dis)Ability Network. I love being the go-to person for these groups — it’s rewarding to bring people together and help them feel connected. Outside of work, I’m involved with Write the Docs, Tech Writer’s Tribe, Pune River Revival, and the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN). The Write the Docs and Tech Writer’s Tribe communities help me stay connected to the advances and innovations happening in the area of my work.
I also grab opportunities to mentor, coach, or present ideas to the community. GYBN is an awesome platform to connect with people all over the world who are passionate about an equitable, sustainable future. We do webinars, podcasts, mentorship programs, and sponsorships. I was also a part of a protest in Punawale (the area where I live) to save 22 hectares of forest land from becoming a garbage depot.
I write poetry — it’s my creative escape. I’m drawn to quiet spots in the city where I can read, daydream, or just observe the mundane. I’m obsessed with thinking about the multiverse, time travel, ancient languages, creation, and mathematics. The physical world as we know it often follows patterns that can be described by mathematics — patterns we may uncover as we refine our understanding.
