Manufacturing Processes and Cost Modeling in the Ansys Granta EduPack Software
This lecture unit provides a guide on how to use Ansys Granta EduPack™, a teaching software for materials education, to select manufacturing processes. Three types of processes (shaping, joining, and surface treatment) and related data can be found within the Ansys Granta EduPack software and used in conjunction with material record data within a selection project. Details of the cost model and the part cost estimator software tools are given and how these can be used to guide processing decisions are given.
