About This Webinar

Hydrogen is an important element of cleaner technology to accelerate the ongoing energy transition and meet the decarbonization goals of several countries. It plays a dual role in the global decarbonization mission as an energy storage medium for integrated energy systems and as a cleaner fuel for mobility, heavy industry (e.g., iron and steel, chemicals, cement, etc.), aviation, maritime shipping, and other industries. There has been a tremendous focus on the hydrogen value chain — which includes hydrogen production, storage and transportation, and utilization (or consumption) to enable sustainable and safer hydrogen adoption.

Simulations plays an important role in understanding the performance of different systems and components to accelerate their designs. In this webinar series, details of Ansys simulations related to the Hydrogen value chain will be presented.

Pravin Nakod - Senior Application Engineering Manager

Pravin is based out of our Pune office and  has been working in the area of spray & combustion for a variety of applications. One of his major focuses is gas turbine combustor modeling in order to understand different characteristics of the GT combustor like fuel sprays and films, LES/RANS combustion modeling, pollutant predictions, conjugate heat transfer to predict the metal temperature, and so on. Over the past few years, he has been focusing on simulation adoption for different aspects of hydrogen value chain. With his two decades of experience, he is leading Ansys’ CFD organization in India. His team of subject matter experts are focused on CFD for Automotive, Aerospace, Energy, Chemical Processing, Pharma, Electronics industries for the development and deployment of simulation practices in product designs and lifecycles. He obtained his master's degree from IIT Bombay and has more than 60 international publications.
