The 2025 R1 release enhances Ansys Motion Enterprise with MAPDL solver capabilities, enabling end-to-end workflows in a unified product. Key updates include faster, more accurate multi-threaded solvers, improved simulation efficiency, and expanded features for condensed parts, such as damping options, beam support, and enhanced result availability.
In 2025 R1, customers will get access to Mechanical Enterprise (MAPDL) solver capabilities from their new Ansys Motion Enterprise Product packaging so they can complete end-to-end workflows with this single, unified product.
Multi-threaded solver capabilities have been enhanced to reduce the solution time – specifically for systems where most entities are in a non-contact condition. The updated solver enforces moment equilibrium at the origin of the element reference frame, which improves simulation accuracy and efficiency.
Improvements include different options to apply damping in multi-body dynamic simulations, added support for beams in both top-down and bottom-up condensed parts, as well as newly available results (displacement, velocity and acceleration) in the expansion pass for the imported condensed part.
Ansys Motion is a next-generation engineering solution based on flexible multibody dynamics. It enables fast and accurate analysis of rigid and flexible bodies within a single solver system. Motion can reduce time-to-market by performing system motion performance, stress safety analysis, vibration analysis and fatigue analysis during the design process across many industrial applications.
