Teaching Biomaterials Medical Devices

Medical devices constitute an important part of biomedical engineering (BME) education on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. These devices are built on knowledge that combines complex engineering and biological principles, through an engaging and meaningful application. However, just like the diverse nature of the subject, BME students often have a range of backgrounds, making this evolving, dynamic topic difficult to teach. By understanding the learning styles of biomedical engineering students, the teaching process can be streamlined. This webinar demonstrates upcoming database additions to Granta EduPack that will make teaching BME easier, including:

  • A new Medical Devices database which contains 50 examples from spinal implants to intravascular catheters
  • Support for the various learning styles of biomedical engineering students
  • Accompanying teaching resources, including a white paper and microproject ideas, to support the implementation in your lessons
