Join Dr. James Woodburn, Chief Orbital Scientist for Ansys, as he discusses the new ODTK features. Dr. Woodburn specializes in software development focusing on visibility analysis, orbital conjunctions, orbit propagation, and orbit determination. He'll review the new features that extend capabilities in deep space mission planning and execution, surface vehicle positioning, and satellite deployment from a tracked host vehicle.
The new ODTK release provides an exciting set of new and enhanced features that extend capabilities in deep space mission planning and execution, surface vehicle positioning, and satellite deployment from a tracked host vehicle.
During this webinar, we'll examine how these enhancements enable several new mission scenarios. We’ll see how a spacecraft performing a flyby of an asteroid can be used to estimate the mass of the asteroid. We’ll estimate the trajectory of a ship tracked by Earth-orbiting satellites and the movement of a lunar rover tracked by Earth-based ground stations and lunar orbiting satellites, and we’ll demonstrate the establishment of satellite formation through the deployment of node spacecraft from a central hub. Additionally, we'll share examples of ODTK containerization within the Linux environment.
