Connecting Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Mission Engineering
Model-based systems Engineering (MBSE) has distinct advantages over traditional document-based practices and is adopted across industries. With an MBSE approach, an overarching systems architect model (SAM) is an authoritative source of truth that captures everything necessary about the system—the requirements, the architecture, and the interfaces between the system pieces. Digital Mission Engineering (DME) uses digital modeling, simulation, and analysis to incorporate the operational environment and evaluate mission outcomes and effectiveness at every life cycle phase.
This presentation will discuss an approach to DME that leverages the SAM to realize the benefits of both MBSE and DME, as well as to simulate and evaluate interactions between your models and the typical operating environment to predict mission outcomes and performance.

- Realize the benefits of both MBSE and DME
- Simulate and evaluate interactions between models and the typical operating environment
