‘Tis the season, and we don’t just mean the holidays. Technology is in the air with CES 2022 fast approaching, and anticipation is high. The latest advances from more than 1,800 exhibiting companies, including Ansys, will be on display in Las Vegas from January 5-8, 2022 at the annual trade show that is organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).
If you haven’t registered yet, visit the CES website for more information. If you have already registered and will be attending, stop by Ansys’ booth (#5769), located in the West Hall section of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC).
With so many exciting things revolving around Ansys 2022 R1, which is right around the corner, we are eager to highlight six high-level technology pillars at CES that support our strategies in key technological areas. Attendees can look forward to more than a dozen presentations at the Ansys booth or take advantage of our technology tour, which will feature the booths of industry leaders who are using Ansys simulation solutions to make groundbreaking developments.
In no particular order, our featured pillars are:
It’s imperative that engineers ensure ADAS and autonomous vehicles (AVs) perform safely — and intuitively — in any driving situation, including unpredictable weather, traffic, and road conditions. For electric vehicles (EVs), engineering challenges include driving range and battery life efficiency.
To learn how manufacturers are meeting automotive challenges head on, you can attend several presentations at our booth. For example, Ferdinando Cannizzo, head of GT Racing Car Design and Development with Ferrari Competizioni GT will share strategies on winning with simulation.
As part of the technology tour, walk over to Innoviz Technologies (West Hall, Booth #5375) to find out how Ansys solutions are enhancing lidar technology to support safer AV driving or visit Project Arrow (West Hall, Booth #6367) of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA) to watch a virtual reality (VR) display running on Ansys simulation.
From semiconductors to the Internet of Things (IoT) and standard mobile communications systems to smart cities, two things are essential for connected systems to work: data integrity and robust design. To accomplish this, engineers rely on multiphysics simulation to observe and analyze the flow of data within present and future networks, while modeling and designing the most equipped systems using predictive accuracy.
To explore this area, visit our booth to watch the presentation “Design Anytime Anywhere, the Power of the Ansys Platform.” You can then follow the technology tour over to the dedicated Ansys station at the Microsoft booth (West Hall, #4029), which is focused on high-performance computing (HPC) and digital engineering, or head to the NXP Semiconductors’ booth (#Central Plaza-18) to hear how NXP engineers are applying Ansys simulation to their products.
The aerospace industry is one of simulation’s earliest proponents and remains so today. From propulsion and autonomous systems to additive manufactured parts, simulation is a key component to engineering this rocket-launching industry, especially with high-risk endeavors that are out of this world.
If this area fascinates you, you won’t want to miss Larry James, Lt. Gen. USAF (Ret.), deputy director of NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory at our booth discuss how simulation enables jet propulsion labs to expand the frontier of space.
As the global leader in simulation software, Ansys’ products are used by a range of industry and academic professionals who are developing innovative products and services that are expected to have a positive environmental impact, such as the aerospace engineer making a lighter, more fuel-efficient aircraft, or the car manufacturer transitioning to electric powertrains.
To learn how industry leaders are turning to simulation to design, optimize, and accelerate the development of such products, stop by our booth to hear Jeff Zaltman, CEO of Air Race E explain how to accelerate sustainable aviation, or check out Ansys’ presentations highlighting simulation as a superpower in bridging speed, safety, and sustainability in transportation and mobility.
