Case Study: Simulation-driven design for a Joint Replacement in Ansys Discovery
This case study showcases how Ansys Discovery can be used to design a hip replacement. It demonstrates how live simulation-driven design can be used to optimize the hip joint material and evaluate trade-offs between different geometries. It is a continuation of the case study titled “Level 3 Industrial Case Study: Biomaterials Selection for a Joint Replacement” where the top materials candidates for a total hip replacement are identified using the Ashby Advanced Materials Selection Methodology.
