Head-up display (HUD) technology is nothing new, but its increasing popularity in automotive applications pushes engineers to dream bigger when designing these types of systems. Optical and mechanical engineers must decrease the package size of their HUD systems while increasing performance. Additionally, engineers must be able to keep costs down and development cycles short. Towards this end, we propose a multi-platform simulation solution utilizing Ansys Speos and Ansys Zemax OpticStudio for designing HUD systems for automotive applications.
