Overview

Many engineering applications nowadays require an understanding of and/or skills in antenna design using simulation. This spans from modeling procedures to setting boundary conditions and plotting radiation patterns and scattering parameters. This webinar will introduce undergraduates and professionals to Ansys HFSS and provide an approach for teaching antenna design using simulation tools. In terms of learning outcomes, we will emphasize how to help students understand the underlying physics that connects antenna design to its performance.

What attendees will learn

  • Get an introduction to Ansys HFSS and how it connects to other relevant Ansys tools
  • How you can use electromagnetic simulation to engage students on dipole antenna and array principles and design practices
  • Cover different antenna simulations in a step-by-step approach
  • Discover the support and educational resources available through the Ansys Educator Hub

Who should attend

  • Academics and educators teaching or interested in engineering topics: electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, aerospace engineering, and design engineers

Speakers

  • Suryas Paluru; Dimitris Tzagkas
