Course Overview

This course covers some of the more advanced material modeling options available in Ansys along with their implementation in Ansys Mechanical.  Topics include Anisotropic Plasticity using Hill Potential, Cast Iron, Microplane, and Shape Memory Alloys.

Prerequisites

Teaching Method

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Use models for anisotropic material analysis
  • Model Shape Memory alloys
  • Use damage models
  • Analyze gray cast iron
