Getting Started with Ansys Speos Software (Self-paced Learning Available)

Course Overview

Ansys Speos® CAD integrated optical and lighting simulation software enables you to design, optimize and validate optical systems.

From geometry creation to optical simulation, through optical properties definition, source and sensor creation, Ansys Speos software makes it possible to validate products virtually. Results can be used to verify compliance with design requirements or specifications, evaluate perceived quality and be exported to other software solutions.

This course will provide you the initial knowledge needed to perform you first optical simulation analysis in the software.

Prerequisites

  • For beginners in Optics only: The completion of Optical Theory is highly recommended.
  • For new Ansys SpaceClaim users: the completion of Introduction to Ansys SpaceClaim is recommended.

Teaching Method

This self-paced course is comprised of several self-paced modules to guide you through each problem.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Get an overview of the Ansys Speos capabilities.
  • Apply materials, create light sources and sensors.
  • Run a simulation and analyze the results.
