Ansys CFX Fluid Structure Interaction with Ansys Mechanical

Course Overview

The Ansys CFX FSI course is an advanced course covering modeling approaches for fluid-structure interaction applications using Ansys CFX and Ansys Mechanical. The course will cover setup, solution, and convergence of one-way and two-way FSI simulations. Students must have experience running Ansys CFX and some prior experience using Ansys Mechanical for the training to be effective.

Prerequisites

  • Completion of the Ansys CFX Getting Started course is required.
  • Completion of the Ansys Fluent Dynamic Mesh Modelling course is strongly recommended.
  • Experience with Ansys CFX is strongly recommended.
  • Experience with Ansys Mechanical is desirable.

Teaching Method

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • select the most appropriate FSI approach, depending on your particular application and the required simulation accuracy.
