Course Overview
The Ansys Field Optimization course explores topics such as optimization of the amplitude taper in a linear antenna array, optimization of the radiation pattern of an antenna array by applying mask, optimization of the steered beam in a phased antenna array by applying mask, and co-optimization of Circuit design and antenna system using Ansys HFSS. This course is designed for intermediate-advanced users and includes five workshops that demonstrate the field optimization workflow from start to finish.
Prerequisites
- Prior knowledge of Ansys HFSS for Antenna Design Course and Ansys HFSS Antenna Arrays and Periodic Structures Course are required.
- Knowledge of antenna design and relevant parameters including S-parameters, Antenna Impedance Matching, Directivity, Gain, Polarization are highly recommended.
- Knowledge of Circuit design and Nexxim Linear Network Analysis are required.
Teaching Method
Hands-on simulation workshops to develop productive skills in field optimization using HFSS. The simulation workshops are self-explanatory and easy to follow for independent learners.
