Ansys Discovery Topology Optimization (Self-Paced Learning ONLY)

Course Overview

Topology optimization allows us to discover the best possible design for a given structure and desired goal. In this course, you will gain an understanding of the complete end-to-end procedure for conducting topology optimization in Ansys Discovery. We will cover all aspects ranging from initial geometry preparation to exporting your optimized result. After completing this course, you will be able to apply the lessons learned to the solution of your own topology optimization problems. 

Prerequisites:

  • Ansys Discovery Getting Started: Structural Simulations 

Teaching Method:

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Carry out the basic end-to-end topology optimization analysis process in Ansys Discovery. 
  • Describe several of the considerations that are important for the analysis model. 
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of geometry and post-processing options for the optimized solution.
