Ansys 2020 R2: Structures Update
In Ansys 2020 R2, Ansys Mechanical offers enhanced intelligent and advanced nonlinear structural solvers, improved workflows and more:
- Parameter-free morphing-based optimization complements the Ansys topology and lattice optimization suite. Users will also see performance enhancements of up to 50% in some cases, due to more efficient handling of results files between solution iterations.
- Mechanical streamlines the simulation of welded structures, e.g., automotive chassis frames. Enhancements to meshing and geometry enable optimization workflows and drive more durable and better performing designs.
- Simulation of electronics systems is made easier thanks to tighter integration with Ansys Sherlock and Ansys Icepak. ECAD files can also be directly imported into Mechanical, allowing users to choose the fidelity of the model representation.
