Continuing to push the boundaries of performance, productivity, and capability for CFD simulations
The 2024 R1 release delivers significant enhancements that improve overall solver performance, increase end-user productivity with automation and customization through the PyAnsys ecosystem, and improve workflows to meet the growing complexity of our customers’ CFD use cases.
- Updates to the Fluent multi-GPU solver include support for discrete phase models (DPM), radiation models, sliding mesh, and non-conformal interfaces. Additionally, the Fluent CPU lightweight setup mode can be used before running the GPU solver to reduce CPU memory usage
- A new Fluent Web Interface allows users to remotely access a light version of Fluent via a web browser. The Fluent web interface supports multiple connections from different browsers or machines and is available for solution controls, monitoring, and post-processing jobs
- Significant enhancements for aerospace applications run on Ansys Fluent include updates to the Virtual Blade Model (VBM) for rotorcraft and urban air mobility applications, a complete aeromechanics workflow for blade flutter using mode shapes from Ansys Mechanical, and improved external aerodynamics predictions within the dedicated Fluent Aero Workspace
- A new Ansys BladeBuilder plug-in available within Ansys Discovery allows users to generate 3D CAD models automatically for use in Ansys Turbogrid for turbomachinery applications
- Significant performance improvements in Ansys Forte for automated meshing and the flow solver provide a 2X speed-up for moving components, highly faceted surface meshes, multiphase flows, and applications with pressure stratification.
- A new particle tracking feature added to the Ansys Chemkin Direct Injection Diesel Engine Simulator that can predict soot emissions
- Ansys Rocky continues to address our customers' needs, delivering features that enable users to perform DEM (Discrete Elements Method) simulations with a focus on multiphysics, new SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamic) capabilities, and an optimized user experience
