CYBERNET Multiscale.Sim

ANSYS TECHNOLOGY PARTNER

Multiscale.Sim™ is a Multi-scale analysis and simulation add-in tool embedded in Ansys® Workbench™ environment, developed by Cybernet Systems Co., Ltd., in Japan since 2007.  Multiscale.Sim is sold by authorized distributors around the world and also available on the Ansys Store.

Multiscale.Sim feature highlights

  • Completely integrated into Ansys Workbench.
  • Capable of using all features in Ansys Mechanical™.
  • Many templates to automatically create microstructures.
  • Supports Multiphysics problems.
  • Curve fitting for anisotropic nonlinearity.
  • Coupling for many third-party tools.
  • Provides localization analysis capability.

Multiscale.Sim can perform a ‘Virtual Material Test’ to determine their macroscopic anisotropic material constants of composite materials, eliminating the need for physical testing. It uses the homogenization method for multiscale modeling and provides distinctive capabilities that enhance the speed, precision, and cost-efficiency in material design and development. This enables Material Engineers and R&D teams to pursue innovative and sustainable product designs.

Nonlinear version

This is the standard version that includes all the features of Multiscale.Sim. New features are added during each version update and made available to its existing users without needing to purchase additional modules or manage separate licenses.

  • Homogenization Analysis (virtual material test): Elasto-plasticity, creep, hyperelasticity, viscoelasticity, piezo-electricity, damage.
  • Homogenization Analysis (identify physical properties): Elasto-plasticity, creep, hyperelasticity, viscoelasticity.
  • Localization: Geometric non-linearity, material non-linearity (elasto-plasticity, creep, hyperelasticity, viscoelasticity).
  • All linear analyses listed below.

Linear version

The linear version can perform the following analysis.

  • Elastic Analysis - Elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio, Shear elastic modulus, Linear expansion coefficient, Density.
  • Heat Transfer Analysis - Thermal conductivity, Specific heat.
  • Penetration Analysis - Permeability for Darcy's law.
  • Electric Current Analysis - Electrical resistivity.
  • Electric Field Analysis - Relative permittivity.
  • Magnetic Field Analysis - Relative magnetic permeability.
