SENIOR LICENSE COMPLIANCE INVESTIGATOR
Compliance, sustainability
I’ve been at Ansys for seven years now. I started in sales operations doing some local marketing activities and sales administration. Then I moved into a more senior-level position as a sales order operations specialist (SOOS). I recently had the opportunity to join the license compliance department, where I’m in my current role as senior license compliance investigator.
We're the police of Ansys that are chasing bad guys that are not using our software appropriately.
My current role within the license compliance department involves tracking down people that are using our software illegally. By using the tools we have available, we are able to identify infringements, the usage it has been given, and which Ansys tools were used without authorization. So, to put in simple words, it's kind of like a detective role.
Our team has been growing and some of us are focused on specific countries. I enjoy working with a global team and having the opportunity to work with people in different places with different cultural experiences. I also enjoy working with customers to help them improve what they are doing. For example, helping them to save money by using simulation.
I feel like I can be myself at Ansys. I’m not afraid about someone commenting on or judging me for what I’m wearing, or what I do in my free time. I’m also very comfortable in my job, and I trust that the company does a great job of keeping employees informed about what is happening.
A few years ago, my family and I had a conversation about how polar bears are struggling to survive. We dedicated some time to think about our daily actions, and how we could reduce our own carbon footprint to try and make the world a better place. One way we do this is to plant some trees in our local community. So far, my neighbors and I have planted 5,000 acorns and more than 420 trees.
We also try to think about how we can reduce our own waste and emissions, both at work, school and home. For Earth Day this year, I jointly lead a virtual workshop with our new sustainability group at Ansys to help colleagues make their own deodorant. I also try to inspire small changes in the Madrid, Spain office, like switching from plastic cups to glasses and eliminating the waste from coffee capsules.
When I saw the announcement about Ansys’ new Earth Rescue docuseries, I just felt I was in the right place. And that all of us, despite of what we do, can make a difference.
Open your mind, try new things, and keep learning.
I enjoy trekking in nature and learning about different plants and trees.
I used to drive rally cars on fast tracks with my father.
