For decades, Ansys SCADE solutions have helped hundreds of customers ensure that their mission-critical products — including planes, trains, cars, and power plants — work reliably in everyday operating conditions. With this latest release, Ansys Embedded Software solutions continue to take innovation one step further.

In keeping software safety certification for customers as a primary objective, the 2025 R1 Ansys SCADE product family contains notable improvements related to certified and qualified code generation for safety standards (including DO-178C and ISO 26262) while continuing to be a leader in certification and qualification for the aerospace, automotive, energy and industrial equipment, and rail transportation industries. This release also covers several improved control software capabilities to accelerate the development of critical embedded applications.

The new release of the Ansys Scade One model-based embedded software development solution delivers a complete workflow to test a model on host. It also offers user experience improvements across all functionalities supported by the integrated development environment, or IDE (that is, modeling, debug, simulation, testing), as well as generated code performance improvements. Moreover, Ansys 2025 R1 introduces PyScadeOne for extending and customizing Scade One capabilities with dedicated Python libraries.

Let’s have a detailed look at major enhancements in the latest release of the Embedded Software product collection to see how our software solutions continue to help you develop safe, reliable embedded applications for automotive, aerospace and defense, rail transportation, energy, and more.

Embedded Control and Human-machine Interfaces Software

  • SCADE verification and validation (V&V) workflow support for control software is enhanced in 2025 R1:
    • Model Coverage Assistant now automatically generates complete test cases with oracles.
    • Scenario generation minimizing test sequences is improved for easier review.

Automotive Control Software

  • AUTOSAR software component modeling improvements with the support of Diagnostic Event Manager (DEM) services. This creates the diagnostic service dependency use cases defined in the AUTOSAR standard.

A Complete Development Workflow in Scade One Software

Design, debug, simulation, and … test: The Scade One product family now offers the capability to test a model on host, using the full power of the Swan language and enabling a significantly more efficient, streamlined testing workflow. The complete workflow includes procedure import, test creation, test management, test execution, and test reporting from the SCADE Test embedded software testing environment.

This new version of the Scade One solution includes several IDE enhancements with improved debug capabilities and more on-the-fly static checks and reporting, as well as increased performance of the generated code.

Scade One software is purpose-built to meet the growing demands of modern engineers. It accommodates numerically large, complex software development problems, as well as more stringent testing requirements.

Combine Scade One Software With Python

PyAnsys now features a new PyScadeOne component to extend and customize the Scade One solution, using a familiar Python environment and its rich ecosystem. Users can access models featuring advanced navigation services, generate integration code (with FMI 2.0 export already included), read and create simulation data (including import from the SCADE Test environment), and review test results. PyScadeOne is available directly in Scade One software or on Ansys Github.

Innovate With Embedded Software Solutions

For more than 25 years, the SCADE product collection has continuously evolved to address the changing needs of the world’s product development teams, including their need to develop software-defined systems, add autonomous functionality, and meet stricter safety regulations.
