Creating a radar scenarion in Ansys HFSS® software using the SBR+ solver

A radar system is considered as an antenna to antenna couplig appliation that considers the scattered energy from scatterers in the scene. There is a number of parameters that affect the estimation of the scatterer or the maxumin range of a radar and these parameters can be understood and explored in a practical way. The use of the asymptotic solver in Ansys HFSS software is a powerful method that can solve such cases with accuracy and short analysis times, which is explained in this tutorial. The scenario results are compared to the radar range equation for a two antenna radar.
