Creating a communication scenarion in Ansys HFSS® software using the SBR+ solver
All telecommunication networks require a minimum signal power level at the receiver end for a successful message transmission. There is a number of parameters that affect the successful signal transmission and reception, and these parameters can be understood and explored in a practical way. The use of the asymptotic solver in Ansys HFSS software is a powerful method that can solve such cases with accuracy and short analysis times, which is explained in this tutorial. The scenario results are compared to the Friis transmission equation for a two antenna system.
