Bulk Material Static Angle of Repose Simulation using Ansys Rocky

The Angle of Repose (AoR) is referred to as the steepest slope of the unconfined materials, measured from the horizontal plane on which the material can be amassed without collapsing. A Discrete Element Method simulations are utilised outlining the AoR by means of Lifting cylinder Test using Ansys Rocky. This DEM calibration process is often done by numerous tests and comparisons to ensure the most well represented material properties including particle type, size and moisture content.
