Exploring scaling up bio-plastic production with Ansys Granta EduPack

This case study uses the 5-step method from Ashby et al., 2015 exploring the feasability of switching to biopolymers from oil-based polymers, with a large focus on recyclability and processing for scaling up the usage of biopolymers in mass production. The 5-step method allows students to explore the topics in a systematic way. Ansys Granta EduPack is used to support where applicable. More details on this methodology can be found in the resource "Active-Learning Tool Kit for Sustainable Development using Ansys Granta EduPack" on the Ansys Education Resources site.
