Planar Magnetic Transformers
Planar magnetic transformers have complicated magnetic and thermal interactions. This presentation describes how Ansys tools are used to set up and solve a frequency-dependent, two-way coupled magnetic-thermal planar transformer model. A customized interface complete with manufacturer libraries is used. The efficiency of the device is then determined in a complete system model using Ansys Simplorer.
