Parallel processing with ANSYS CFD HPC allows users to consider higher-fidelity CFD models — including large systems with greater geometric detail, (for example, a full 360-degree blade passage rather than a single-blade one) and more complex physics (such as unsteady turbulence rather than a steady turbulence model). In fact, using 64-bit technology, ANSYS Fluent can run parallel calculations on meshes consisting of a billion cells or more.
